Some of my favorite places include Myanmar, Laos and Thailand, the Ngorongoro Crater, Mauritius and Seychelles, Nepal, India, SE Asia, as well as Iguazu Falls and the Amazon in South America. Throughout my high school years, my parents hosted international exchange students and teachers through the University of Delaware and American Field Service (AFS).  We always had people coming and going with different languages being spoken and a variety of meals being prepared.  From when I was 13, living overseas as an exchange student became 2nd nature including Mexico City,  Panama, Denmark and Austria.
During my studies at the University of Delaware in International Communications, I participated in an Honors Semester abroad in Vienna, Austria.  It is a fabulous city for music and walking and we lived in the heart of the city -- could walk to St. Stephens Cathedral, the Lipizzaner Riding School and the Opera House.  Our classes were across the street from the Opera House and it was in the Theatre Museum around the corner from my classroom that I discovered a poster of the NY City Ballet with my uncle's name on it from 1956!!    After graduating from the University and Katherine Gibbs School in Boston, I took an archeological trip to Egypt. Instead of returning home,  I had made a deal with my parents that if I could find a job in London within two weeks of arrival, I would work for six months in London through a student work-exchange program. The first day I found a job!!  Soon I found an American family living in London who needed assistance with their younger son.  The family were great fans of the theatre, as am I, and had two daughters my age.   I traveled around the UK and Europe and, of course, visited again with my Danish family (how could I be so close and just not hop across the water to see them?).

One day I took the "tube" to Heathrow to pick up clothes my Mother sent over with a friend.  As I was pulling them out of a bag, a man was smiling at me across the aisle.  We talked, he gave me his card and he turned out to be a VP at Chase Manhattan Bank in NY.  I contacted him before my return to the USA and we set up an interview.  My next venture would be in New York City working for an Executive Vice President at Chase in the International Department!  The city, the theatre, the restaurants...it was a great year.  After a year, I realized how much I missed living overseas and returned to London.
Through word of mouth, people have always been asking me to arrange their trips.  My first-hand experience provided insight and ideas in making trips special.  For over 20 years I've been helping people with their travel needs.  I have visited every continent, explored the small and the large, cruised over 30 times and get anxious if there is no trip on my horizon!   Among our adventures, we have driven around Australia two times for five months, enjoyed five river cruises in Europe, driven around South Africa for three weeks, explored Hong Kong during the three coldest weeks in their history!, cruised to Antarctica and swam in the Dead Sea and most recently did an Around The World cruise on the Queen Victoria.

Travel, cultures, languages, history, archeology and friendships have played a big part in my life.

I would love to assist you with your travel plans.  Whether around the corner or to a distant corner, we can make your dream a reality.  Please contact Luisa at LGTravel@verizon.net or 302 838 8966.
